The short version
JobJujutsu is built so that your career vault is yours alone. Your data lives on your Mac and, if you enable iCloud, in your personal iCloud private database. The developer operates no server that stores your vault, collects no analytics, runs no trackers, and cannot read your data.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you put into JobJujutsu (claims, evidence files, job postings, notes, stories, resume designs, and the audit trail) is stored in a local database on your Mac.
If iCloud is enabled on your Mac, the app syncs this database through CloudKit to your personal iCloud private database, so your vault follows you across your own devices. This storage is governed by your Apple account and Apple's iCloud terms; the developer has no access to it.
What the developer collects
Nothing. The app requires no account, no sign-up, and no email address. It contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting service run by the developer. Standard, anonymized crash and usage statistics may be provided by Apple through App Store Connect if you have opted in to sharing them with developers in macOS settings; those never include your vault contents.
On-device processing
Text recognition for evidence you import (for example a certificate screenshot) runs on your Mac using Apple's Vision framework. Writing assistance runs on your Mac using Apple Intelligence. Your vault contents are not uploaded to the developer for processing and are not used to train any model by the developer.
Network requests the app makes for you
The app talks to the network only when you ask it to:
Receipt link checks. When you attach a URL as evidence, the app can periodically request that URL to report whether the link still works. These requests go directly from your Mac to the site you saved.
GitHub evidence. If you connect the optional GitHub integration, the app fetches your activity directly from GitHub's API from your Mac. Any credential you provide is stored in the macOS Keychain and is sent only to GitHub.
Exports and backups
Exports (resumes, Markdown, JSON Resume, and platform presets) are files created on your Mac at your request; where you send them is up to you. Vault backups are encrypted with a password you choose before they are written; the developer cannot recover a backup password.
Children
JobJujutsu is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
